Description
Groove Clan's mission is to contribute to the vibrant Seattle street dance scene by passing on the knowledge we've gained through battling, traveling, and training. The ultimate goal is to keep the funk alive and cultivate a self-sustaining popping community. Throughout the year, Groove Clan teaches popping progressive classes at the Massive Monkees Studio: The Beacon, with all profits supporting the annual Groove Gauntlet event, a platform for students to practice, see new styles, meet new people, and get inspired. Featuring judges Kid Boogie (Machine Gone Funk), Magic Sean (HBLienz | Stop Biting), and MC Tracey Wong AKA Mac Tray (Malicious Allure | Chinatown After Hours), along with video grapher Herb Valdez, this event celebrates the community and showcases diverse talent.
